About Kelly
I am a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist at Optimal Wellness Solutions. Throughout my life I have developed a passion for fitness and nutrition and a desire to help others achieve their health and wellness goals.
It is all about education and awareness. Our insurance based healthcare system is going bust. We have more stress now than any previous generation. We need to keep healthy and strong to endure what is coming down the pike.
A little history of how I got started in the clinical nutrition world. I was a sick little girl going in and out of doctor’s offices for nearly 10 years. They kept telling me my symptoms were in my head. I could have strangled the next doctor to tell me the same thing. When I was finally diagnosed with a blood sugar disorder, hypoglycemia, at age 16, my life changed dramatically. I researched diabetes and understood exercise would help regulate blood insulin levels. I was able to feel healthy and well for 2 decades until the ski accident.
The ski accident broke me in more ways than one. I was in and out of doctors once again. I vowed to myself when I was age 16 that if I got sick again, I would take the bull by the horns and figure it out for myself. Well, I did. It only took me 4 months to figure out the root cause of my symptoms, but it took me several more years to become well.
I put myself in the position of a guinea pig. I tried many therapies and many support systems. I had numerous testing done. Once I got well, I went back to school to study pre-med, nutrition and post graduate studies in nutrition. I am grateful for my journey and my path has led me to help others.
It has been a privilege and honor to teach and educate individuals of all ages on nutrition, fitness, health, and wellness. I look forward to many more years of inspiring clients.
